GOOD DIET? would i lose weight?

breakfast: small bowl of museli (oats with nuts seeds and fruit) with semi-skimmed milk
and freshly squeezed orange juice 150 ml, just enough for a portion

lunch: i generally make either brown rice, or quinoa with roasted vegetables feta cheese and sundried tomatoes and a bit of tomatoe puree. i eat it cold :)

dinner: generally quorn steak, or quorn chicken with vegetables and baby potatoes

for drinks, i drink water, 1 or 2 cups of Black coffee in the morning, and if i crave something sweet i have flavoured water.
sometimes i have a low calorie hot chocolate before i sleep.

excercise: 30-40 mins on treadmill daily at a speed of 9.5-10kmph
i’m just under 5’4 and 103lbs how much weight would i lose?

The diet is not too bad, but you’re severely lacking in protein. You will get a minimal amount from the semi-skimmed milk, an even smaller amount from the muesli, a little from the cheese, and some from the Quorn – but this is no where near what is required for a healthy person. Try adding a source of protein in at lunch, and include 1-2 extra ‘snacks’ through out the day with some more protein in.

I’m assuming your vegetarian as you use quorn – this makes it difficult to have a healthy balanced diet due to the lack of animal proteins which are what our bodies primarily function off of (for rebuilding). Maybe think of investing in some whey protein powder, or low fat cheeses / more soya protein based products to increase your protein intake.
