This compound comes out during the roasting process of the coffee beans and not during its raw form. It is found in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee. This proves that coffee contains antioxidants that ward off cancer.

The tannins contained in coffee may actually reduce the occurrence of plaque formation leading to decreased number of dental caries.

For male coffee drinkers, a study has shown that they will least likely to develop gout when they reach the age of 40 and above. This involves men drinking coffee for a 12-year period and the statistics state that men and gout formation are inversely proportional to the amount of coffee they consume.

People who drink coffee regularly are less prone to die from cardiovascular diseases. This was conducted in a university in Madrid.

The risk of developing Parkinson’s disease later in life is decreased for a person who consumes about 3.5 cups of coffee a day compared to one who drink 0-2 cups a day. These examples could greatly show the coffee health effects.

Coffee is actually a very healthy drink, if you consume it with moderation. It contains a lot of antioxidants, which are good for your body.  For someone that doesn’t have any health issues, like high blood pressure, one or two cups of coffee every day shouldn’t cause any problems. However, if you use to drink a lot of coffee cups every day, the caffeine from that drink will have a lot of unwanted effects on you. The excess of caffeine makes you hyperactive and dehydrated. You’re unable to function during the day without more and more coffee, and the caffeine also affects your sleep. You’re unable to rest properly during the night, so the next day you’ll drink even more coffee. If you reached that point, you’re addicted to coffee and you need to do something to reduce that addiction.

 

The first rule is to drink plenty of water. Drinking coffee dehydrates you, and the symptoms of dehydration are headaches, tiredness and irritability. You should start the day with one cup of coffee. A moderate amount of coffee is okay to drink. However, during the day, you shouldn’t have another one. Every time you feel like having coffee, you should switch it to water. This way, your body will hydrate and in time, you’ll get rid of many of caffeine addiction symptoms.  Even if you feel lethargic and tired, avoid the coffee. Trading coffee for energy drinks is not a solution either – you’re simply changing the subject of your addiction.

 

Plant and dried fruits infusions are extremely efficient in helping you reduce addiction to coffee. Those delicious, hot drinks are very rich in antioxidants and vitamin C and help you keep high energy levels in a gentle, natural way, without making you hyperactive.

 

Sometimes, you lack energy and you are tired. You fight those symptoms with yet another cup of coffee. Well, that’s not the best strategy. A lot of times, tiredness comes from the fact you’re not eating enough or you’re not eating the right foods. You wake up in the morning and you drink a cup of coffee, without anything to eat. Then, you go to work and expect your body to function well. It’s only natural to have a low energy level during the entire day if you don’t eat in the morning. 2. When you wake up on the first day of the rest of your coffee-free life, take several deep breaths, stretch, and then start your morning routine minus the coffee-making part. Repeat this phrase to yourself whenever the coffee urge strikes. “I don’t need a cup of coffee right now. Just for today I’m not going to drink any coffee,” and then stick to it. Repeat the process tomorrow, etc.

3. If you have physical symptoms like headache, treat them with your normal pain relievers. These types of symptoms will usually disappear by the third or fourth day of withdrawal.

It takes 30 days to develop a habit. It took you thirty days to develop your coffee habit, and it’s going to take 30 days to replace it. The good news is that by the fifth day, or so, you won’t be consciously fighting the “I want a cup of coffee” urge. Your subconscious will have taken over by then and the battle against addiction will take place mostly without you even being aware.
